RACE BIB AND RACE PACK COLLECTION
The Expo Village in the heart of Pisa
For the 2025 edition of the Pisa Marathon, the beating heart of the event will be the new Expo Village, set up for the first time on Viale Duomo, in a unique and evocative setting, right next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Here you will find the area dedicated to runners, sponsors, and visitors, welcoming athletes and enthusiasts in the days leading up to the event a place for meeting, enjoyment, and sharing, where you can experience the marathon atmosphere and feel the energy of the city up close. A strategic and iconic location, easily accessible and just a few steps from the finish line, in the heart of one of the most famous places in the world.
Where and when can I collect my bib?
Bib collection will be available:
- Friday, December 19: Expo Village open from 12:00 to 20:00
- Saturday, December 20: Expo Village open from 10:00 to 22:00
How can I collect my individual bib?
Bib and race pack collection will take place at the Expo Village on:
- Friday 19 (12:00–20:00)
- Saturday 20 (10:00–22:00)
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BIBS OR RACE PACKS BE DISTRIBUTED ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21.
To collect your bib, you must bring:
- Your printed or digital Confirmation Letter
- A valid ID document
(The confirmation letters will be downloadable from the website one week before the race here.)
You must also verify that your registration is REGULAR (two green OK icons). Check your registration here.
For athletes with irregular registration:
- FIDAL MEMBERS
FIDAL members with IRREGULAR REGISTRATION must regularize their membership status with their club before collecting the bib.
Athletes suspended on the FIDAL portal (expired medical certificate) will NOT be able to collect their bib, even if they bring a valid certificate at collection. The club president must update their status on the FIDAL portal; only after regularization will the bib be released.
- RUNCARD MEMBERS
Runcard athletes with IRREGULAR REGISTRATION must upload a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics (valid on 21/12) to the Runcard portal as soon as they obtain it, and also bring the original copy when collecting the bib.
- IRREGULAR REGISTRATION DUE TO OUTSTANDING PAYMENT
Athletes with irregular status due to partial payment may settle the outstanding amount directly at the Expo Village at the irregular registration desk.
Can someone else collect my bib on my behalf?
Yes, another person may collect your bib by completing the DELEGATION form included in the confirmation letter available one week before the race here.
The delegate must present:
- Their own ID
- A copy of the delegating athlete’s ID
When will I receive my confirmation letter?
The confirmation letter required for bib collection will be available on the website one week before the race. To view and download it, click on "CHECK REGISTRATION" and enter “FIRST NAME” – “LAST NAME” – “DATE OF BIRTH”. Once in your personal area, you can download the confirmation letter.
RACE DAY
BAG DROP
The bag deposit area will be set up in Piazza del Duomo, near the start and finish areas. Participants must use the official race bag provided by the organization, with the bib number sticker attached.
BAGS MUST BE DROPPED OFF BY 8:30 AM SHARP.
STARTING CORRALS
At the start, you will be divided into corrals, associated with the two planned starting waves. Each corral is indicated by a color (red, orange, blue, green) matching the bib color.
- Paralympic race start: 8:45 AM (Entrance from 8:15 AM)
- First wave start: 9:00 AM (Entrance from 8:30 AM)
Red: Elites & Top Runners
Orange: Fast
Blue: Intermediate
Green: Slow / Walkers
- Second wave start: 9:15 AM (Entrance from 8:30 AM)
Pink: Christmas Run
TIME LIMIT
Maximum race time is 6 hours and 30 minutes for both the Marathon and the Pisanina, to allow gradual reopening of roads.
The time limit at km 30 is 4h35.
All athletes (including Fitwalking participants) passing after that will be asked to stop.
PARKING
We recommend using parking lots slightly away from the start/finish areas to avoid high prices or restricted traffic zones (ZTL).

TOILETS
Portable toilets will be located in the Via Cammeo parking area, near the start. Please use only the designated facilities.
Anyone caught urinating in public or unauthorized areas may be sanctioned by local authorities.

TIMING
Results will be processed by Evodata using the chip attached to the bib, which MUST NOT BE REMOVED until the end of the race.
The chip records Real Time (from when you cross the start line to when you cross the finish).
Only the Elite category will be ranked using "Official Time" (from the start gun); all others will be ranked by Real Time.
MEDICAL SERVICE
The medical service will be provided by various local associations.
MEDAL
All participants who reach the finish line within the time limit will receive the exclusive Pisa Marathon finisher medal.
RESULTS
Unofficial results will be available immediately after the finish here.
ILLNESS DURING THE RACE – WITHDRAWAL
There will be medical aid stations along the course and at the finish area. You can request assistance from volunteers if you feel unwell during the race.
LOST & FOUND
For lost items, you can contact the assistance service at the Race Village or get in touch with the organization after the event. Contact details are usually provided after the race.
