OFFICIAL RACE REGULATIONS

PISA HALF MARATHON – LA PISANINA – 21.097 KM

Sunday, December 20, 2026 – Pisa, Italy

ART. 1 – EVENT

The Pisa Half Marathon “La Pisanina” will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026, in Pisa, Italy.

The event is a road running competition forming part of the official program of the 27th Pisa Marathon and included in the FIDAL and AIMS – World Athletics calendars.

The Half Marathon covers the official distance of 21.097 km and includes competitive and non-competitive participation, subject to the conditions set out in these regulations.

The race will start at 9:00 AM.

ART. 2 – COURSE

The course is entirely paved, officially measured and certified by FIDAL and AIMS – World Athletics, with the start and finish located in the historic center of Pisa.

The event course runs through Pisa and the surrounding areas, starting and finishing near Piazza del Duomo.

Refreshment stations will be provided every 5 km.

ART. 3 – DATE, SCHEDULE AND START

The Pisa Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026, according to the following schedule:

• Athletes' meeting time: 8:00 AM.
• Opening of starting corrals: 8:00 AM.
• Closing of starting corrals: 8:45 AM.
• Half Marathon start: 9:00 AM.

Starting location: Largo Cocco Griffi – Pisa.

ART. 4 – PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with the FIDAL regulations governing non-stadium athletics events, participation in the Half Marathon is open to athletes aged 18 or over during the 2026 calendar year (based on year of birth), subject to the applicable registration and sports documentation requirements.

4.1 – FIDAL-registered athletes

Athletes registered for 2026 with clubs affiliated with FIDAL, the Italian Athletics Federation.

4.2 – Runcard and Runcard-EPS holders

Italian and foreign athletes holding a valid Runcard, which provides sports insurance and authorization to compete, as well as athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Organization (Athletics Section) holding a valid Runcard-EPS.

A valid competitive medical certificate specifically issued for athletics is mandatory and must be submitted to the organizer, including electronically.

For this category, the general 2026 event regulations refer to a minimum age of 20 years. The applicable age requirement shall be determined in accordance with the FIDAL provisions governing the event.

4.3 – Athletes registered with foreign athletics federations

Italian or foreign athletes not registered in Italy who hold a membership card issued by a club affiliated with a foreign athletics federation recognized by World Athletics.

Alternatively, upon registration, athletes may submit a self-declaration confirming possession of a valid membership card recognized by World Athletics.

The original self-declaration must be signed when collecting the race bib.

4.4 – Non-competitive participation by foreign citizens

Foreign citizens who are not registered with an athletics federation and do not hold a medical certificate may participate in the non-competitive event for tourism and recreational sports purposes over the same distance.

This non-competitive event does not fall under FIDAL jurisdiction.

Non-competitive participants may start in the corrals designated for the competitive race but must be identified through dedicated race bibs.

They will be included in a separate alphabetical list of finishers, distinct from the official competitive race results.

They will not be eligible to receive prizes in kind, cash prizes, vouchers, bonuses, appearance fees or expense reimbursements of any kind.

ART. 5 – REGISTRATION

Registration for the Pisa Half Marathon 2026 must be completed exclusively online through the official ENDU registration platform.

To complete registration, participants must:

• Fill in the online registration form.
• Pay the applicable registration fee.
• Submit the required athletics membership documentation.
• Submit a valid competitive medical certificate where required.

Athletes who are not properly registered or cannot provide proof of payment will not be allowed to participate.

ART. 6 – REGISTRATION FEES AND PARTICIPANT LIMITS

The maximum number of participants in the Pisa Half Marathon is 2,700 athletes.

The overall event participation limit, including the Marathon, Half Marathon and Christmas Run, is 6,000 participants.

Registration fees and applicable price tiers are available directly through the official ENDU online registration form

ART. 7 – NON-PARTICIPATION, DEFERRALS AND TRANSFERS

Registration fees are non-refundable.

Until December 9, 2026, registered athletes may request one of the following options:

1. Defer registration to the 2027 edition, subject to a €10.00 fee.
2. Transfer registration to another athlete, subject to a €10.00 fee.

Each option may be used only once.

ART. 8 – RACE BIB COLLECTION

Race bibs must be collected at the Marathon Expo Village, located in the parking area on Via Carlo Salomone Cammeo, opposite Largo Cocco Griffi, Pisa.

Bib collection schedule:

• Friday, December 18, 2026: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
• Saturday, December 19, 2026: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Participants must present:

• A valid identification document.
• All required sports registration documentation.

Collection on behalf of another participant is permitted for one person only, with written authorization.

ART. 9 – RACE BIB

Race bibs are strictly personal and non-transferable.

The bib must be worn on the front of the athlete's clothing and remain clearly visible throughout the race.

Any alteration, tampering or unauthorized exchange of race bibs will result in disqualification.

ART. 10 – TIMING

Official timing will be provided by Evodata using the MyLaps timing chip integrated into the race bib.

The following times will be recorded:

• Gun Time: official race time.
• Real Time: individual net time.

ART. 11 – TIME LIMIT

The maximum time allowed to complete the Half Marathon is 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Athletes running or walking at a pace slower than 8 minutes and 30 seconds per kilometer must comply with the Italian Highway Code and all applicable road traffic regulations.

ART. 12 – SERVICES INCLUDED

The registration fee includes:

• Race pack.
• Refreshment stations along the course.
• Medical assistance.
• Finisher medal.
• Online finisher certificate.
• Bag storage service.

Showers and changing rooms will not be provided.

ART. 13 – RESULTS AND PRIZES

An official FIDAL competitive ranking will be published, together with a separate list of non-competitive finishers.

ART. 14 – BAG STORAGE

The bag storage service will be available from 7:00 AM in the Via Duomo area.

Bag storage will close at 8:30 AM.

ART. 15 – IMAGE RIGHTS

By registering for the event, athletes authorize the organizer to use their images free of charge and without limitation for promotional purposes.

ART. 16 – LIABILITY

By registering for the event, athletes declare that they have read, understood and fully accepted these regulations and release the organizer from all civil and criminal liability.

ART. 17 – COMPLAINTS

Any complaints must be submitted in accordance with FIDAL and World Athletics regulations.

ART. 18 – FINAL PROVISIONS

The organizer reserves the right to modify these regulations for safety reasons or following instructions issued by the competent authorities, subject to FIDAL approval.

For all matters not expressly covered by these regulations, the applicable FIDAL rules shall apply.
