42.195 km<\/strong><\/p>\n The race, both competitive<\/strong> and non-competitive recreational\/sporting<\/strong>, will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2026<\/strong>, on a course measured and certified by AIMS\u2013World Athletics and FIDAL<\/strong>, with the start at 9:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Pisa Marathon 2026<\/strong> is open to Italian and foreign athletes born in 2006 or earlier<\/strong>, belonging to one of the following categories:<\/p>\n FIDAL-registered athletes<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Italian and foreign athletes<\/strong> holding a RunCard<\/strong> (valid as sports insurance and competition permit) and a medical certificate of competitive fitness<\/strong>, a copy of which must be submitted to the organizers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Body (Athletics Section)<\/strong>, holding a RunCard EPS<\/strong> and a valid medical certificate of competitive fitness for athletics<\/strong> on the date of the marathon, a copy of which must be submitted to the organizers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Italian\/foreign athletes not registered in Italy<\/strong>, holding a membership card from clubs affiliated with foreign athletics federations recognized by World Athletics<\/strong>. At the time of entry, they must alternatively submit a self-declaration<\/strong> confirming possession of a World Athletics\u2013recognized membership card. This self-declaration must in any case be signed in original form when collecting the race bib;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Foreign NON-REGISTERED athletes<\/strong> who will participate only in the non-competitive recreational\/sporting category<\/strong>. These athletes will be insured by the organization upon signing a waiver, will be entitled to all services, but will be excluded from the rankings<\/strong> and from the prize money<\/strong>, in any form (cash or in kind).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Entry form;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Payment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n FIDAL membership card, foreign World Athletics membership card or EPS card and RunCard EPS or RunCard, plus a medical certificate for competitive activity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Online only<\/strong> on www.maratonadipisa.com<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Entry fees are available directly on the registration form.<\/p>\n The organization reserves the right to temporarily suspend, or close registrations early, once the maximum number of participants is reached in order to guarantee all services.<\/p>\n A maximum of 4,500 athletes<\/strong> is planned: 2,200<\/strong> in the Marathon and 2,300<\/strong> in the Half Marathon. Any updates will be published on www.maratonadipisa.com<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n In case of non-participation, entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n However, athletes unable to participate may choose one of the following options, which must be communicated to the organization no later than December 9, 2026<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Transfer the entry to the Pisa Marathon 2027<\/strong>, upon payment of a \u20ac10.00 administrative fee<\/strong> at the time of the new registration. This option may be used only once<\/strong> and is not cumulative with other fee reductions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Transfer the entry to another person<\/strong>, upon payment of a \u20ac10.00 administrative fee<\/strong> and submission of the confirmation email received.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n The person pre-registered in 2026 or registered as a replacement must complete a new entry form<\/strong>, including all personal data, membership details, and submission of the medical certificate. A new available bib number will be assigned, with access to the available starting grid at that time.<\/p>\n Transfer to another athlete is permitted only for the 2026 edition<\/strong> and only once<\/strong>, and is not cumulative with other fee reductions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In case of event cancellation due to force majeure, entries may be transferred to subsequent editions, up to a maximum of three<\/strong>, provided each transfer is confirmed through new acceptance forms for the chosen edition. Entry transfers to other persons will also be possible as described above, with a \u20ac10.00 administrative fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n If documentation is incomplete, an email will be sent indicating the missing or required documents (proof of payment, valid FIDAL card on race day, valid medical certificate of competitive fitness for athletics on race day, etc.).<\/p>\n Participants must go to the Marathon Expo Village<\/strong> to collect their race bib, presenting a valid ID and any additional required documentation.<\/p>\n Athletes may collect their bib:<\/p>\n Friday 18<\/strong> from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Saturday, December 19, 2026<\/strong> from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n at the Marathon Expo Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n To collect the bib, athletes must present a valid ID and any documentation requested in the confirmation letter (membership card, RunCard, valid medical certificate).<\/p>\n The bib and race pack of only one (1)<\/strong> other participant may be collected, provided a signed delegation and a copy of the athlete\u2019s ID are presented. No one may collect more than one delegated bib\/race pack.<\/strong><\/p>\n All registered participants are entitled to: race pack, aid stations, medical assistance, finisher medal, downloadable online certificate, and official timing with finishing order. Only athletes properly registered with the federation and foreign athletes affiliated with World Athletics may take part in the final cash prize ceremonies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Meeting time in the start area is 8:00 a.m.<\/strong> in Largo Cocco Griffi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The race starts at 9:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n Access to the starting pens is allowed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.<\/strong> Late arrivals will be invited to start from the last grid<\/strong> at the back of the race.<\/p>\n All athletes must be inside their assigned starting grid by 8:45 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n Entry into a grid other than the one indicated on the race bib is not permitted<\/strong>. Once inside their grid, athletes may not exit.<\/p>\n Starting from a grid behind<\/strong> the assigned one is allowed.<\/p>\n Times may change according to instructions from security and police authorities.<\/p>\n The race bib is personal and must not be exchanged<\/strong>, under penalty of disqualification.<\/p>\n The bib must be worn on the front of the race shirt<\/strong>, clearly visible. Any covering or alteration of the bib text will result in disqualification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The overall time limit to complete the 42.195 km<\/strong> is 6 hours and 30 minutes<\/strong>. Athletes running at a pace slower than 8:30 min\/km<\/strong> must comply with traffic regulations.<\/p>\n Timing services will be provided by Evodata<\/strong> using a MyLaps microchip<\/strong> integrated into the race bib, allowing the recording of the athlete\u2019s actual (net) time.<\/p>\n The chip is strictly personal and may not be exchanged.<\/p>\n \u201cReal time\u201d starts when crossing the start line and ends when crossing the finish line. Intermediate times will be recorded at km 10, 21.097, and 30<\/strong>, with additional surprise checkpoints to ensure the correct compilation of rankings. Official rankings, based on gun time<\/strong>, will be validated by the Technical Delegate \/ Appeals Judge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The race bib and the MyLaps sensor must not be removed for any reason<\/strong>, under penalty of exclusion from the rankings.<\/p>\n Bag drop will be located in the Via Duomo area<\/strong>, in designated spaces divided by bib number groups, starting at 7:00 a.m.<\/strong> The official bag will be placed in the assigned area by service staff. The sticker with the athlete\u2019s bib number, provided at the Expo, must be attached<\/strong> to the bag. Bag drop closes at 8:30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n No showers and\/or changing rooms are available.<\/p>\n Two rankings will be compiled:<\/p>\n The official competitive ranking according to FIDAL regulations, eligible for the cash prize money governed by these rules;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The list of finishers in the non-competitive race.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The top 10 overall men<\/strong> and top 10 overall women<\/strong> will be awarded. The top 3 overall men<\/strong> and top 3 overall women<\/strong> will be called to the podium. No age-group awards<\/strong> are provided. Prize recipients (overall and Italian-only) must complete the administrative and tax documentation sent by the organization after the event (request via segreteria@maratonadipisa.com<\/span><\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n By signing the entry form for the Pisa Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the organization, free of charge, to use still and\/or moving images portraying them, taken during their participation in the Marathon, worldwide and without time limits, for publications and audiovisual materials, including promotional and advertising content on any media.<\/p>\n The organization may also grant these usage rights to its institutional and commercial partners.<\/p>\n In compliance with applicable laws, the organization may provide its institutional and commercial partners with profiling data usage rights, subject to explicit consent by registered participants.<\/p>\n By signing the entry form, the athlete declares that they are aware of and accept the rules of the XXVII Pisa Marathon<\/strong>, published on www.maratonadipisa.com<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, and releases the organizers from any civil or criminal liability for damages to persons or property caused by or suffered by the athlete.<\/p>\n The Organization of the Pisa Marathon reserves the right to amend or update these regulations at any time, subject to agreement with the Regional Committee and the National FIDAL, in order to ensure the best possible running of the event, particularly in conjunction with other side events or following instructions from public authorities. Any changes to services, locations, or times will be communicated via confirmation email or published on www.maratonadipisa.com<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, the only official source<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Friday, December 18 (EXPO)<\/strong> Saturday, December 19 (EXPO)<\/strong> Sunday, December 20<\/strong> Athletes will run the course measured by FIDAL and AIMS\u2013World Athletics<\/strong> (start, Lungarni, Porta a Mare district, La Vettola, San Piero a Grado, Via Bigattiera, Tirrenia, Marina di Pisa, Viale D\u2019Annunzio, Porta a Mare, Ponte della Cittadella, Via Roma, Via Santa Maria, and Piazza del Duomo).<\/p>\n Aid stations every 5 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Outside assistance is strictly forbidden<\/strong>. Unauthorized persons on the course (without a bib, on foot, bicycle or otherwise) will be removed and may be reported to the authorities. The organization accepts no responsibility for damages or injuries to unauthorized persons.<\/p>\n The course is entirely asphalted<\/strong>.
