RULES AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Distance: 21.097 km
Date and Time:
The race, both competitive and non-competitive, will take place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, on a course measured by AIMS-World Athletics and FIDAL, with the start at 9:00 AM.

According to the “Rules for Organizing Non-Stadia Events” issued by FIDAL, athletes registered in Italy may participate from the age of 18 (age in years) and must meet one of the following requirements:

No Participation and Refund Policy
If an athlete is unable to participate in the event, the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. However, athletes unable to participate will have two alternatives, which must be communicated to the organization no later than December 11, 2024:

Services
All registered athletes will receive a race kit, aid stations, medical assistance, finisher medal, downloadable diploma, and timing with their finishing position. Only athletes with valid FIDAL membership and foreign athletes with World Athletics registration will be eligible for prize money.
Start
The meeting point for the start is at 8:00 AM in Largo Cocco Griffi.
The race starts at 9:00 AM.
Entrance to the starting pens is allowed from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM. Latecomers will be directed to start from the last pen.
All athletes must be inside their assigned pens by 8:45 AM.
Latecomers can start from a pen further back, but once inside a pen, athletes cannot exit.
Schedules may change based on safety and police regulations.
Race Bib
The race bib is personal and cannot be transferred to another athlete, under penalty of disqualification.
The bib must be worn visibly on the front of the shirt during the race. The bib must not be obscured under any circumstances, or the athlete may be disqualified.
Time Limit
The time limit to complete the 21.097 km is 6 hours and 30 minutes. Athletes running at a pace of more than 8’30” per km must comply with road traffic rules.
Timing and Chip
The timing service will be provided by Evodata using a MyLaps microchip attached to the race bib, which records the athlete’s official time. The chip is personal and cannot be exchanged.
The “Real time” will start when crossing the starting line and finish when crossing the finish line. Official rankings will be confirmed by the Technical Judge and Appeal Judge.
The bib and MyLaps sensor must not be removed under any circumstances; doing so will result in exclusion from the results.
Bag Drop
The bag drop will be located in Via Duomo, with dedicated spaces based on bib numbers, starting at 7:00 AM. Bags must have the bib number sticker provided at the Expo. The bag drop closes at 8:30 AM.
Prize Money for Half Marathon
General Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women overall according to official time. The prizes are not monetary. No prizes are provided for categories.
Image Rights and Personal Data Authorization
By signing the registration form for the Pisa Marathon and Pisanina Half Marathon, athletes grant the organization permission to use their images (photos and/or videos) for promotional and advertising purposes worldwide and without territorial limits.
Liability Declaration
By signing the registration form, the athlete declares to be fully aware of and accepts the regulations of the XVII Pisa Half Marathon, and agrees to release the organizers from any civil or criminal liability for any injury or damage caused by or to the athlete.
Final Warnings
The organizers reserve the right to modify and update the regulations at any time, in agreement with the FIDAL National Committee, to improve the event, especially in the presence of other events. Any changes will be communicated to registered athletes via email or posted on the official website www.maratonadipisa.com.
Schedule Overview
Course Information
The athletes will follow the FIDAL and AIMS-IAAF certified course. The course will be entirely on asphalt and will include aid stations every 5 km. Athletes are strictly prohibited from receiving assistance along the course outside of the official aid stations. Unauthorized persons (without a race bib) are also prohibited from being on the course.

Any complaints should be submitted to the organizers in accordance with the applicable regulations.
